Hell's Half Mile Film Festival (and one more thing)
This year's Hell's Half Mile Film Festival in Bay City runs Thursday, Oct. 1 through Sunday, Oct. 4. Many great films to see. Check out the schedule of events here: http://www.baycityhhmfest.com/
I'll be a part of the festival again this year...and in a more active role. On Saturday morning, I'll be conducting a screenwriting workshop from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. This will be followed by a screening of two films for which I wrote the screenplays. Commitment (directed by Jim Gleason) and Sleepwalker (directed by Michael Randolph). Right after the films, Jim, Mike, and I will do a Q&A about the making of the films.
Workshop, films and Q&A: $40
Just films and Q&A (starting around 11 a.m.): $10
Also, there's a new blog/site/extravaganza in Mid-Michigan called Five Fishes.
Check it out: http://fivefishes.wordpress.com/
They're off to a good start with a nice review of Peter Markus' short fiction and an interview with Mr. Markus himself.
The editor tells me he wants submissions of poems, stories, etc . . . so, what are you waiting for?
