An Acceptance from Burning River
Burning River Publications has accepted my story "NUFOINFO" for publication in their pocketbook, Noun vs. Verb.
As always, it's fun to receive an acceptance!
People can still submit to Burning River, and the editor there seems very friendly. Of course, this is a fledgling publication, so the editor has plenty of time yet to get bitter and stodgy : )

They are open to fiction and poetry.

Just as an aside. Because of this acceptance, I had to contact another magazine and
pull "NUFOINFO" from consideration. Turns out, they were going to contact me this week about their desire to publish the story. So, in a way, the story was accepted twice.
Why are magazines so hung up on being the only one to publish a story? Why couldn't the story run at both places? I would imagine that the magazines don't share the same audience.
It's too bad that only one magazine gets to run the story.
I mean, they both liked it for their audiences. It'd be nice exposure for the story too if it could run at both places.
Oh well.
